The Problem: Misaligned Teams and Slow Delivery Cycles
When I joined, the team was comprised of talented individuals across UX, engineering, and business operations. However, they operated in silos with a traditional, waterfall-style workflow. This led to significant challenges: project delivery timelines were slow and unpredictable, there was a frequent misalignment between stakeholder expectations and engineering output, and overall efficiency was hampered by a lack of a unified process.
My Process & The Solution
1. Diagnosis & Strategy: Identifying the Bottlenecks
My first 30 days were focused on a deep diagnosis of our product development lifecycle. Through a series of stakeholder interviews and process mapping workshops, I identified that the core issue was not a lack of talent, but a lack of a shared, agile framework. My strategy was to introduce Agile methodologies to break down silos, increase transparency, and create a predictable rhythm for product delivery.

2. The Solution: Implementing an Agile Framework
I spearheaded the transition to an Agile/Scrum framework. This was a hands-on process that involved:
Establishing Sprints
Instituting two-week sprints to break down large projects into manageable, shippable increments.
Running Ceremonies
Facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to foster constant communication and alignment.
Creating a Unified Backlog
Working with all stakeholders to build and prioritize a single source of truth for all product-related work.

Impact: Driving Measurable Improvements in Speed and Efficiency
The shift to an Agile framework had a profound and measurable impact on the team's performance. By creating a structured and collaborative environment, we were able to align project milestones with broader organizational goals and deliver value to our users faster. This new operational rhythm also allowed me to collaborate more effectively with marketing to devise targeted strategies that grew our community.

Learnings & Future Steps
My key takeaway from this experience was that for a product team, the how is just as important as the what. A talented team can be severely limited by an inefficient process. Implementing a structured framework like Agile is not just about process; it's about creating a shared language and rhythm that enables a team to build, learn, and iterate at scale. This experience solidified my belief in process as a key enabler of product success.
